Many participants said their goal was to draw attention to the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza and support the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination.
Pro-Palestinian demonstrations have been regularly taking place across the United Kingdom since the start of the military escalation. Thousands participate, with the largest marches recorded in London, Birmingham, and Manchester. Despite government pressure and attempts to restrict rallies, the protests continue, uniting people of different faiths and communities.
Organizers stated that the demonstrations will continue until the bombing stops completely and the blockade of Gaza is lifted. They also emphasized that the international community must exert real pressure on Israel and hold it accountable for war crimes against civilians.
