The British Ambassador to Georgia, Gareth Ward, announced the suspension of the annual Wardrop security dialogue and the cancellation of defense negotiations. London has also decided to freeze a new cybersecurity program. The reason for this decision was a new law adopted in Georgia, which prohibits LGBT propaganda and promotes family values, which, according to the UK, is a manifestation of an "anti-Western course." Another factor was the criticism of Western countries over the law "On Transparency of Foreign Influence", which requires mandatory registration of NGOs with foreign funding.
