AKTOBE INVENTOR RECEIVES INTERNATIONAL PATENT
The invention of Aktobe entrepreneur Aslan Umbetalin has received a patent from an international bureau after 18 months of review. The device he developed is designed for the production and purification of drinking water. The unit is expected to enter the market in the near future.
In 2021, Umbetalin founded the company SUU and developed a system for supplying purified water to apartments in multi-storey residential complexes in Aktobe and Astana. Later, he moved to the capital and focused on installing equipment in newly constructed residential buildings.
The device is fully autonomous and does not require recharging. It is a box measuring 50 by 50 centimeters with a height of about 80 centimeters. The small prototype can produce up to 21 liters of water per day, while the larger version can generate up to 106 liters daily.
After testing, the team submitted documents to the international patent authority to obtain exclusive rights. A positive decision was received on April 12. Technical testing and cost calculations are currently ongoing, after which the final price will be determined.
The developer is also working on two new projects. The first involves creating a device capable not only of purifying water but also of producing hydrogen fuel. The second focuses on developing a vehicle that can autonomously generate hydrogen for its own propulsion.
According to the inventor, similar hydrogen-powered vehicles have been produced in Japan for the domestic market since 2013. His strategy includes integrating his own device into such transport solutions.
The projects have attracted interest from domestic and foreign investors. Negotiations are underway regarding possible funding for further development.
