Aliyev Expresses Concern Over Growing Tensions Between Turkey and Israel
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has expressed concern over the escalating tensions between Turkey and Israel, emphasizing that the current situation is a serious cause for alarm in Baku.
The head of state noted that Azerbaijan maintains close and friendly relations with both Turkey and Israel, founded on trust, respect, and mutual support. Aliyev reminded that Baku had previously played a role in facilitating diplomatic rapprochement between Ankara and Tel Aviv, acting as a mediator in their dialogue.
According to Aliyev, the current deterioration in relations between Azerbaijan’s two key allies could affect regional stability and necessitates efforts toward a diplomatic resolution. Azerbaijan, with its strong ties to both countries, will continue to advocate for de-escalation and the restoration of constructive dialogue.
