Armed clashes intensify in several regions of Syria

A sharp escalation of the armed situation is being recorded in several regions of Syria at once. According to incoming reports, units of the HTS group have arrived in the Aleppo area, positioning themselves as a new Syrian army. Clashes involving armored vehicles have been recorded in the city and its surroundings, including between government forces and formations of the Syrian Democratic Forces. The intensity of fighting in Aleppo continues to rise.

In the south of the country, artillery shelling of the Druze city of As-Suwayda has been reported. According to available information, the strikes were carried out by Bedouin formations linked to HTS. In response, mobilization of local self-defense forces has been announced in Druze areas. The situation in the province remains tense, with the risk of an expansion of the fighting zone persisting.

At the same time, a number of Middle Eastern sources report the beginning of the entry of Turkish troops into northern Syria. Against this backdrop, SDF formations are placing their units on heightened alert along the line of contact with government forces. Troop movements and mobilization measures increase the likelihood of direct clashes between various participants in the conflict.
