Iran: Strikes Will Stop Only When Israel Is Punished and Pays Reparations
The Supreme strategic body of the Islamic Republic — Iran’s National Security Council — issued a stern statement declaring that Tehran will not halt its attacks on Israeli targets until “Israel is punished” and “pays reparations for the inflicted damage.”
This announcement comes in response to Israeli strikes on Iranian territory, including the destruction of the state broadcasting facility and confirmed attacks on Iranian military infrastructure. Iranian authorities consider these actions acts of direct aggression, demanding both moral and financial accountability from Israel.
The Council outlined three non-negotiable conditions for halting missile strikes: cessation of all military operations, international condemnation of Israel’s actions, and financial compensation for casualties and destruction on Iranian soil.
This firm stance significantly complicates prospects for diplomatic resolution. Global leaders have expressed concern that the conflict is entering a protracted phase with the potential to destabilize the entire Middle East and negatively impact the global economy — particularly the energy sector.
