Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has declared that Turkey and Qatar will be excluded from participating in the implementation of a peace plan for the Gaza Strip. He emphasized that he considers their involvement a “red line” and will not allow these countries to exert political influence in the region after the end of the conflict.

According to Netanyahu, any involvement by Ankara or Doha could, in his view, strengthen the position of the Hamas movement and threaten Israel’s national interests. “We will not allow countries that supported Hamas to take part in the future governance of Gaza,” the prime minister said, commenting on ongoing international settlement efforts.

Earlier, Turkey and Qatar actively served as mediators in negotiations on the ceasefire and humanitarian aid deliveries to the Gaza Strip. Both countries repeatedly emphasized the need for a political solution to the conflict and the reconstruction of destroyed infrastructure.

Netanyahu’s statement drew negative reactions from diplomatic circles. Turkish and Qatari representatives reminded that it was precisely their mediation that led to a temporary truce and the establishment of humanitarian corridors.

International observers believe that the Israeli prime minister’s position could complicate the implementation of existing agreements and jeopardize the continuation of the peace process.
