New Canadian Prime Minister Promises a Break with the US
Mark Carney, the former head of the Bank of England, has been elected as the new leader of the Liberal Party of Canada and will now become the country's prime minister. In the party leadership election on March 9, he won 86% of the vote, decisively surpassing his competitors – Chrystia Freeland, Karina Gould, and Frank Baillie.
