Washington approved Iraq’s plans to transfer the share of the Russian company Lukoil at the West Qurna-2 field to American companies, which is related to sanctions risks and the growing influence of the United States on the country’s oil sector.
The European Parliament adopted a resolution calling for the EU to be included in peace negotiations on Ukraine and for frozen Russian assets to be transferred to Kyiv. The document provides for security guarantees, non-recognition of occupied territories and the creation of a “reparation credit.”
The US excluded from the updated peace plan a clause on the use of frozen Russian assets. The adjustment was made to reduce political risks and find a more acceptable negotiation formula for all parties involved in discussing the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict.
The iShares Bitcoin Trust from BlackRock has exceeded 700,000 BTC in assets. The fund now holds 55% of all bitcoin in spot ETFs, strengthening its dominance in the digital asset market.
