Tokayev discussed cooperation with Telegram founder Pavel Durov
On the sidelines of the International Forum Digital Bridge 2025, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting with the founder of the Telegram messenger, Pavel Durov.
During the conversation, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation in the fields of education, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence. The President emphasized the importance of introducing digital technologies into educational processes and noted the role of Telegram as a tool contributing to Kazakhstan’s digital agenda.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev highly appreciated the company’s activities in the country, recalling that Telegram became an official member of Astana Hub, opened a regional office in Kazakhstan, and launched artificial intelligence laboratories based at the Alem.Ai center.
In turn, Pavel Durov informed the Head of State about the prospects of joint projects in the field of artificial intelligence and stressed the importance of Kazakhstan as a regional center of digital development.
