Baerbock Threatens to Cut Ties with the U.S. After Russia-America Talks in Riyadh
German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock has issued a sharp warning to the U.S. following an unexpected diplomatic rapprochement between Washington and Moscow. The high-level negotiations in Riyadh could significantly shift the balance of power in Europe. Baerbock called for increased pressure on the U.S., stating that Germany and European democracies will not allow decisions about regional security to be made without their participation. She stressed that if Washington ignores its allies' interests, it will lead to a "second turning point" in global politics, similar to the severance of economic and political ties with Russia three years ago.
