The United Nations General Assembly has officially designated Almaty as the regional hub for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Central Asia and Afghanistan. This decision was unanimously approved with the support of 152 countries, as announced by Kazakhstan's presidential press secretary, Ruslan Zheldybay.
