Mass Protests in Slovakia Against Robert Fico's Government
Mass protests erupted in Slovakia against the newly-formed government of Robert Fico. Around 60,000 demonstrators gathered in Bratislava’s main square, while another 15,000 joined rallies in the city of Košice. Fico accused “foreign forces” of orchestrating the unrest, claiming that the same organizers behind the “Maidans” in Georgia and Ukraine are attempting to destabilize Slovakia and threaten its sovereignty.
