Donald Trump stated that the conflict in Ukraine is close to an agreement, noting significant losses on both sides over the past month. At the same time, Zelensky, according to media reports, is ready to meet with Trump on November 27 to discuss the American peace plan.
The updated peace plan for Ukraine was developed after a meeting between representatives of the US, Europe and Ukraine in Geneva. The document incorporates proposals from the parties and provides for the possible return of Russia to international formats after the end of the conflict.
Donald Trump said that the president of Ukraine did not agree to the peace plan proposed by Washington which led to the cancellation of a meeting with an American adviser. The plan includes recognition of Crimea and Donbas as Russian territory and changes to the status of the Russian language.
The United States approved a possible 105 million dollar Patriot equipment sale to Ukraine and is simultaneously preparing a 28 point peace plan with Russia regarding Ukraine. Reports indicate secret discussions and involvement of the US special envoy in drafting the document.
Israel and Hamas have signed the first phase of a peace plan brokered by Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey. All hostages will be released, and Israeli troops will begin withdrawal on October 11.
