Astana. April 24. KAZAKHSTAN TODAY - AFM monitored about 300 channels in instant messengers, 4 largest Darknet marketplaces where narcotic drugs and precursors were distributed.

80 users of Telegram channels were identified and advertised on an ongoing basis and were also involved in the sale of narcotic and psychotropic substances in the country. As a result of the monitoring of the Kazakhstan segment of the Internet space, 3 large platforms for the sale of drugs were identified with a total number of participants of almost 35 thousand people. It was possible to identify almost 10 thousand people who are potential users of narcotic drugs,” the AFM informed.

The analysis showed that more than 50% of consumers are in Astana, Almaty and the Almaty region.

Last year, the agency identified 36 drug stores with a turnover of 25.6 billion tenge.

This year, 59 card accounts have been installed, belonging to 60 drug platforms in the Telegram messenger.

Based on the results of a preliminary analysis of financial intelligence, the total cash turnover in these stores amounted to 3 billion tenge. Materials on one of the drug stores with a turnover of 82 million tenge were sent to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
