Silk Way Star will follow a music competition format with similarities to the well-known European model. According to Raushan Kazhybayeva, Director of the President’s Broadcasting Corporation, this is the first international TV show developed under the strategic media partnership between Kazakhstan and China. The project has received high-level support in both Astana and Beijing. By building a shared media platform, Silk Road countries can present their unique cultural identities in a modern format.
