Mass Demonstration in Support of Palestine Held in Berlin
A large demonstration in support of Palestine took place in central Berlin. According to organizers, thousands of people filled the streets chanting “Free, free Palestine” and “Stop the genocide.” Participants carried Palestinian flags and banners calling for an end to military operations in the Gaza Strip and the lifting of the blockade on the region.
The rally took place amid growing public pressure on the German authorities, whom activists accuse of unilateral support for Israel. Despite heightened security measures and attempts to restrict public gatherings, the demonstration remained peaceful. Hundreds of police officers were deployed to maintain order and block central streets.
Protesters called on the international community to stop supplying weapons to Israel and demanded an immediate end to attacks on civilian targets in Gaza. According to them, the silence of Western governments makes them complicit in the humanitarian catastrophe unfolding on Palestinian territory.
In recent weeks, similar demonstrations have been held in many European capitals — including London, Paris, Madrid, and Rome. Berlin remains one of the main centers of the Palestinian solidarity movement in Europe, where activists regularly organize marches and rallies demanding investigations into the war crimes of the Zionist regime.
