“The Whole World Will Explode”: Trump Warns of Iran's Nuclear Threat

U.S. President Donald Trump delivered a harsh statement regarding Tehran, warning that Iran possessing nuclear weapons could spark a global catastrophe. According to the American leader, the Islamic Republic was only “weeks away” from acquiring a full nuclear arsenal, raising serious concerns in the White House.

“If Iran gets nuclear weapons, the whole world will explode. That would be the beginning of the end,” Trump told reporters before an emergency meeting on the Middle East situation. He stressed that he does not seek military conflict, but the U.S. will not allow Iran to become a nuclear power.

The president stated that a meeting with key defense and foreign policy officials would take place in the coming hours. The discussion will cover possible scenarios, including diplomatic and military measures. Trump noted that “the door to talks with Tehran is not closed,” but acknowledged that striking a new nuclear deal is now far more difficult than it was several years ago.

“We’re ready to negotiate. But it must be honest — without blackmail or threats,” Trump said. He added that the previous nuclear deal signed under the Obama administration merely postponed the issue without resolving it.

Trump did not rule out a regime change in Tehran, stating, “anything can happen.” He emphasized that the Iranian leadership’s actions aimed at regional destabilization and support for radical groups are incompatible with international security.

He also highlighted the role of Israel, with which the U.S. continues close coordination. Trump reaffirmed unwavering U.S. support for Israel and stated that any threat from Iran would be viewed as a threat to the national security of the U.S. and its allies.

Meanwhile, Iran has responded with warnings of a strong counterattack. Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and representatives of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stress that Iran will not yield to pressure and will continue asserting its right to peaceful nuclear energy development.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) stated it currently has no direct evidence of an active Iranian nuclear weapons program. However, rising instability, escalated rhetoric, and mutual threats have alarmed international observers.

Global markets reacted to the statements with rising oil prices and falling stock indexes. The Middle East, as a major oil supplier, is once again at the center of geopolitical turbulence.

Experts note that today’s rhetoric resembles the atmosphere preceding the Iraq War in the early 2000s, when claims about weapons of mass destruction were later disproven. Two decades later, history may repeat itself — but in a far more dangerous configuration involving Iran, Israel, and potentially other global powers.

The coming hours and days will be crucial. The international community is awaiting concrete decisions from the U.S., Iran, and other players. The chosen course will determine not only the fate of the Middle East but also global stability.
