Uzbekistan Launches "Golden Visas" for Investments Starting June 1, 2025
Foreigners will be able to obtain a five-year residence permit for $200,000 without unnecessary bureaucracy.
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a decree introducing a "golden visa" program. Starting from June 1, 2025, foreign citizens and stateless persons will be able to obtain a five-year residence permit by meeting certain investment conditions.
The minimum investment amount for the principal applicant is set at $200,000. For each additional family member — spouses, children, or parents — an additional $100,000 investment is required. The program aims to simplify the residence permit process by eliminating lengthy bureaucracy and queues.
The initiative is designed to attract capital, boost economic development, and strengthen the country's investment image. It is expected to bring in wealthy investors, entrepreneurs, and professionals who wish to do business or live in Uzbekistan.
