Aliyev announces completion of work on the Zangezur Corridor in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev announced the completion of the main phase of construction on the railway line referred to in some reports as the Trump Route. According to him, Azerbaijan has completed a significant portion of the construction activities related to the development of the transport corridor that is intended to link various regions of the country through Armenia. The corridor is viewed as a key infrastructure project aimed at creating a new route connecting the western regions of Azerbaijan with the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. Construction is being carried out in accordance with previously agreed parameters, and the formation of critical sections of the line is now nearing completion.

The Zangezur Corridor is part of agreements discussed on international platforms involving representatives from Azerbaijan, Armenia, and the United States.
