American Aggression Against Yemen Continues: Strikes on Sana'a and Hodeidah
The US and its allies launched new airstrikes on Yemen's capital and strategic port.
The American coalition continues to escalate military aggression against Yemen. On the night of April 18, several airstrikes were carried out on the country's capital, Sana'a, as well as on the key port of Hodeidah. According to local authorities, the strikes also targeted civilian facilities.
In Sana'a, significant damage was inflicted on the Majal al-Damma cemetery area. Buildings and infrastructure were destroyed, and nearby residential areas were affected. Preliminary data on casualties is being clarified, and rescue operations are ongoing.
The port of Hodeidah, crucial for the country's food and medicine supplies, was also bombed. Warehouses and civilian logistics facilities were damaged, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis in the region.
The attack comes amid growing criticism from international organizations calling for an immediate end to violence and the protection of Yemen’s civilian population.
The US leadership claims the strikes are targeting facilities used by armed groups, but the bombings increasingly impact civilian infrastructure.
The situation in Yemen remains extremely dire, as the country faces a severe humanitarian crisis, suffering from food shortages, lack of medicine, and a devastated economy amid years of war.
