IDF Promises Intensified Strikes Against Hamas

The Zionist army announced the launch of so-called “preliminary operations” in the Gaza Strip. According to the official statement of the press service of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), these actions are a preparatory stage for a large-scale ground operation against Hamas.

The military command stated that the current activity is aimed at “deepening combat operations” in the central and southern parts of the Strip, where, according to intelligence, the main combat cells and command centers of the movement are hiding.

It was emphasized separately that one of the main goals of the new operations is to create conditions for the return of hostages held by Hamas since the beginning of the conflict. The statement notes that the army is acting in coordination with intelligence structures and is using precision weapons to neutralize key targets.

Since the beginning of the conflict, the IDF has repeatedly carried out air and artillery strikes on Hamas infrastructure. However, the current statement may signal a transition to a more active ground phase, despite international calls for restraint.

Against the backdrop of escalation, the humanitarian situation is worsening: reports from the Gaza Strip indicate the destruction of civilian infrastructure and mass displacement of the population. Nevertheless, the Zionist regime insists on the need for the “complete elimination of the terrorist threat,” refusing to agree to a ceasefire until the stated goals are achieved.

The Hamas political leadership, in turn, accused Tel Aviv of continuing aggression under the pretext of freeing hostages and warned of possible consequences of further escalation.
