Iran has responded to strikes on its territory by launching a large-scale missile attack on Israel. According to Iranian official sources, over 150 missiles were fired during the first wave, targeting key military infrastructure. This was followed by a second wave, reportedly involving hundreds of ballistic missiles. The bombardment marks a sharp escalation of the conflict and signals the beginning of active hostilities.

The first attack reportedly targeted critical military sites, including the Israeli armed forces' command center in the Kirya area. The strike occurred while military and political leaders were present in the area. Other locations housing military and strategic assets were also hit, causing alarm within Israel's defense decision-making circles.

In response, fighter jets from the U.S., the U.K., and Israel were spotted over Syria and Iraq, tasked with intercepting missiles and drones heading toward Israeli territory. Jordanian authorities opened their airspace to Israeli military aircraft, indicating high-level coordination among allied nations and an urgent mobilization of resources to defend Israel’s airspace.

The Israeli army confirmed the massive missile barrage, stating that some missiles were intercepted, though others breached the missile defense layers. Damage was reported in residential areas of Tel Aviv, causing panic among the civilian population. Authorities urged residents to remain in shelters and follow civil defense instructions. Alarms were sounding in several towns.

Israel’s military command reported another volley and does not rule out further strikes. All units have been placed on full combat readiness, and the air defense system is operating under heightened alert. The country’s leadership is holding emergency meetings to assess the situation and decide on further action amid the escalating threat.

The Middle East has reached a critical point. Both sides have moved from mutual statements to direct military confrontation, threatening regional stability. International concern is growing over the potential for broader escalation beyond bilateral conflict. Neighboring countries may be drawn in, expanding the scope of the crisis.

Amid the hostilities, international organizations are calling for an immediate ceasefire and a return to negotiations. However, developments point to rapidly intensifying combat and a worsening humanitarian situation in the conflict zone. Both sides maintain hardline positions, and prospects for stabilization remain uncertain.
