Iran Strikes Israel: Missiles Hit Tel Aviv and Be'er Sheva Hospital
Iran launched around 20 rockets at Israel. Impacts were confirmed in Tel Aviv and near Be'er Sheva. According to the IDF, one missile hit Soroka Hospital.
On the evening of June 13, Iranian armed forces launched a fresh missile attack on Israeli territory. According to Israel’s state broadcaster Kan, about 20 missiles crossed into Israeli airspace, triggering explosions in several parts of the country.
The most significant damage was reported in Tel Aviv and Be'er Sheva. Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Radio clarified that one of the missiles struck the Soroka Medical Center in Be'er Sheva — one of the largest hospitals in southern Israel.
As a result of the strike, the hospital building sustained partial structural damage. Preliminary reports indicate casualties, though the exact number of dead and injured was not confirmed at the time of publication. Emergency services are on-site, and patient evacuations are underway.
Israel’s Ministry of Defense confirmed the attack and announced the start of retaliatory operations. The Israeli Air Force was put on high alert and began striking suspected Iranian launch sites.
The international community is convening urgent meetings in response to the sharp escalation. A closed session of the UN Security Council is underway in New York.
This latest attack marks one of the most intense in recent weeks and signals a shift in the Iran-Israel conflict, moving increasingly from proxy warfare toward open military confrontation.
