The digital rights organization SMEX stated that AppCloud is pre-installed on Samsung A and M series models sold in Arab countries. According to their information, data from devices may be stored and processed on servers located outside the region. Analysts emphasize that such practices violate transparency principles and pose a serious threat to the privacy of millions of users.

Several countries in the region have launched investigations into device suppliers and companies responsible for installing AppCloud. Experts warn that the widespread integration of such software solutions could be used to create surveillance infrastructure, potentially serving the interests of foreign entities.
