Talks between President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Khaled bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan were held in the capital of Kazakhstan. The visit was rich in both official negotiations and symbolic gestures reflecting the strengthening of bilateral ties. The leaders jointly visited Lyceum No. 84 named after Sheikh Khalifa, where students demonstrated skills in bioengineering, mathematical modeling, biochemistry, and Arabic language. Special attention was paid to the Kazakhstan-UAE friendship mini-museum organized at the school.

Several strategic agreements were reached during the negotiations. The main outcome was the signing of energy and digital agreements worth $5 billion. One of the key projects includes the creation of a supercomputer cluster in Kazakhstan, which will promote the development of scientific research and high-tech industries.

The sides also agreed to jointly implement infrastructure investment projects, including the modernization of the capital's airport and the construction of a new maternity hospital in Turkestan. Cooperation opportunities in the oil and gas sector, transport logistics, and justice were also discussed.

President Tokayev noted that the visit of the Crown Prince became an important step in strengthening the partnership between the two countries. He stressed that the UAE already ranks among the top ten largest investors in Kazakhstan's economy, and the agreements reached could move the UAE into the top three by investment volume.

For his part, Sheikh Khaled bin Mohammed expressed satisfaction with the agreements and noted the high level of trust and mutual understanding between the countries. He emphasized that the UAE is ready to continue expanding its investment presence in Kazakhstan and to develop new areas of cooperation.

Experts see the signing of the agreements as a new stage of strategic partnership. Special attention is being paid to digital transformation and energy cooperation, which are considered priority areas in the bilateral agenda.

The visit to the school, with its focus on Arabic language learning and modern educational technologies, symbolically confirmed the deepening of humanitarian ties. It also highlights both countries' intention to expand cooperation not only in the economy but also in education.

The talks in Astana ended with mutual statements of intent to further develop dialogue, strengthen trade and economic ties, and explore new forms of cooperation. It is expected that the UAE will increase its investment presence in key sectors of Kazakhstan’s economy in the coming years.
