Kazakhstan Ready to Evacuate Tourists from the Middle East
Amid rising tensions in the region, Kazakh authorities declared readiness to evacuate citizens from the UAE and Gulf countries. Tourists are advised to consider potential risks.

Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Tourism has issued an official warning for citizens currently abroad, particularly in Middle Eastern countries. The notice emphasizes the importance of closely monitoring developments in the region, especially when staying in the United Arab Emirates and other Gulf states. These recommendations are preventive and aimed at ensuring the safety of Kazakhstani tourists in the event of a potential escalation.
The government stated it is prepared to organize evacuation efforts swiftly if the situation in the region poses a threat to the lives or health of its citizens. The response plan includes the use of the “Turistik Qamqor” platform, developed to track the locations of tourists and facilitate emergency response. Coordination with airlines operating international routes is also part of the plan, allowing for the rapid arrangement of evacuation flights if needed.
Kazakhstan’s Aviation Administration will play a key coordinating role in any emergency response. If a crisis emerges, it will be authorized to establish special flight routes and issue return protocols for citizens. Evacuation measures will be carried out in stages, depending on the threat level and the number of Kazakhstani citizens in the affected areas.
The Ministry of Tourism also urged citizens to take the current international climate into account when planning travel. It noted that instability in the region could affect logistics, flight availability, and safety conditions. Tourists are advised to register with the “Turistik Qamqor” system before traveling abroad and stay in contact with Kazakhstan’s diplomatic missions.
These actions are part of the government’s broader strategy to protect its citizens abroad. The Middle East remains a region of heightened tension, requiring constant monitoring and readiness from relevant authorities. Proactive measures are emphasized to prevent critical consequences and ensure timely assistance overseas.
Similar measures have been taken in other regions during emergencies such as natural disasters, armed conflicts, and civil unrest. The current focus on the Middle East reflects the risk level associated with ongoing developments and Kazakhstan’s commitment to mitigating threats to its citizens. If the situation escalates, additional government statements and measures may follow.
