Khamenei Mocks Trump’s Proposal for a “Deal with Iran”
Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei responded to Donald Trump’s statement about being ready to make a “deal” with Tehran, saying that agreements based on intimidation are unacceptable for Iran.
Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei commented on U.S. President Donald Trump’s statement expressing readiness to reach a “deal” with Tehran. According to Khamenei, such proposals made from a position of strength have nothing to do with genuine dialogue and represent an attempt to impose conditions through pressure.
“He says, ‘I’m a man of deals. Let’s make a deal with Iran.’ A deal based on intimidation is not a deal but coercion. Iran does not yield to such pressure, unlike some other countries,” Khamenei stated.
Earlier, Trump, speaking at the White House, said he was ready to resume negotiations with Tehran if the U.S. conditions were met. However, Iranian leadership rejected the possibility of talks amid the ongoing sanctions and pressure from Washington.
Analysts note that Khamenei’s response reflects Iran’s consistent stance of rejecting any form of dictate or interference in its internal affairs, remaining committed to equal and respectful relations in the international arena.
