An Israeli airstrike near Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis injured multiple media workers; one journalist died, another is in critical condition.
Overnight, the Israeli military (IDF) launched an airstrike near Nasser Hospital in the city of Khan Yunis, southern Gaza. The attack hit a tent where local media personnel had gathered.
Journalist Ahmad Mansour from the Palestine Today channel was seriously wounded, suffering severe burns. His condition is reported as critical. Several other individuals sustained varying degrees of injuries, and one journalist was killed at the scene.
The incident has sparked concern among international organizations over the safety of media workers in conflict zones. According to international law, journalists in war zones are classified as civilians and must not be targeted.
The Gaza conflict continues to escalate, while humanitarian access and civilian safety remain in a dire state. Human rights groups and journalist unions continue to call for press protection and full investigations into all attacks on media personnel.
