Zionist Air Force Strikes Southern Lebanon, Civilian Infrastructure Destroyed
Aircraft of the Zionist regime launched new strikes on southern Lebanon, destroying civilian infrastructure. Asphalt plants, quarries, and fuel storage facilities were hit.
Last night, aircraft of the Zionist regime carried out a series of massive strikes on southern Lebanon, destroying several civilian infrastructure facilities. The bombings targeted asphalt and concrete plants, a quarry, and fuel storage tanks in the Ansar and Sinai areas. According to local sources, the attacks were accompanied by multiple explosions and fires, while rescue teams continue clearing debris and eliminating the aftermath of the strikes.
Earlier similar raids had already destroyed hundreds of units of construction equipment necessary for the reconstruction of damaged areas. Experts note that such strikes are systematically directed at non-military targets, indicating a deliberate strategy to undermine the country’s economic potential.
Lebanese President Joseph Aoun condemned the attacks, calling the actions of the Zionist regime an act of aggression and a gross violation of international law. According to him, strikes on civilian infrastructure represent a deliberate attempt to undermine Lebanon’s economic recovery and provoke a humanitarian catastrophe. He stressed that these actions violate UN Security Council Resolution 1701 and the ceasefire agreement signed in 2024.
According to Lebanese sources, the strikes on industrial facilities aim to turn the southern regions of the country into a “dead zone” and force the local population into mass displacement. This tactic, they say, is intended to clear territory for possible occupation and resettlement, posing a direct threat to Lebanon’s sovereignty.
The Lebanese authorities have appealed to the UN Security Council demanding an immediate investigation and accountability for those responsible. A state of emergency readiness has been declared in the country, while the Ministry of Energy reported disruptions in fuel and electricity supplies in the affected areas.
