The Houthi leader stated that strikes on Israel will continue despite the U.S. decision to end its military operation in Yemen.

The head of the political bureau of the Ansar Allah movement (Houthis) announced that attacks on Israeli territory will persist, regardless of the recent decision by the United States to halt its military campaign against the Houthis in Yemen. The statement comes amid growing instability in the region and the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip.

According to the Houthi leadership, Washington’s decision does not affect the strategic priorities of the movement, one of which is supporting the Palestinian people. He emphasized that strikes on Israeli targets are viewed as part of broader resistance, and the end of foreign pressure only reinforces their resolve to continue such actions.

The statement asserts that the Houthis consider it their duty to respond to Israel’s actions in Gaza and support groups opposing Israel. The leadership claims that the suspension of the American campaign in Yemen provides them with additional opportunities to focus efforts in other directions, including the Red Sea and the eastern Mediterranean.

Israeli authorities have yet to comment on the Houthi statement. However, earlier reports confirmed the interception of drones and missiles launched from Yemen. Israeli forces continue to maintain high alert levels in the southern regions and are strengthening air defense, particularly along the Red Sea coast.

The U.S. Department of Defense previously announced a suspension of active military operations against the Houthis, citing a shift in regional priorities and the need to focus on other areas. It also declared an intention to step up diplomatic efforts to stabilize the Arabian Peninsula.

Nevertheless, the Houthis interpret the halt as a sign of weakness, which, according to analysts, may encourage increased activity beyond Yemen’s borders. In recent months, there has been a rise in drone and missile launches toward Israeli territory, including from areas controlled by the Houthis.

Tensions remain high across the region. The escalation of conflict in Gaza has led to increased activity by armed groups in other parts of the Middle East. The Houthis continue to express solidarity with the Palestinian population and accuse Israel of human rights violations.

The situation in Yemen remains unstable. Despite the formal end of the American campaign, armed clashes between the Houthis and other factions continue. At the same time, the Ansar Allah movement is intensifying activity in international waters, threatening shipping in the Red Sea.

The international community has expressed concern over the growing number of incidents involving the Houthis. Organizations monitoring maritime security report a rise in threats and attacks on commercial and military vessels, including ships bound for Israel or linked to Western nations.

Amid declarations of continued attacks, regional countries are stepping up coordination. Reports indicate a buildup of naval presence in the Bab el-Mandeb Strait and increased airspace patrols. Israel continues to enhance security around coastal areas and strategic infrastructure.

The Houthis assert they will not abandon their course until hostilities in Gaza end and political agreements are reached that take Palestinian interests into account. Regional observers warn that ongoing confrontational rhetoric could lead to the conflict spreading beyond traditional zones of engagement.
