India targets militant leaders in strike on Pakistan
Indian military forces identified a specific location for a strike against the terrorist groups Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba, both of which are banned in Kazakhstan. According to reports, the goal of the strike was to eliminate the top leadership of these organizations involved in sabotage on Indian territory.
Indian intelligence units had been monitoring the movements of the leaders of these groups for several weeks, gathering data on their presumed locations. After analyzing the information, targets were selected in the northeast of Pakistan, where, according to the Indian side, key figures of the terrorist cells were hiding.
It is clarified that the decision to strike was made after receiving intelligence on a potential new attack being planned by these groups. The Indian Ministry of Defense deemed the threat direct and immediate, requiring a swift response. The airstrike was carried out with precision weaponry, which, according to military officials, helped minimize risk to civilians.
Information released in Delhi stated that the main strike targeted facilities used to coordinate operations and train new fighters. The targets included training camps and temporary command posts where the senior leadership of the terrorist organizations was believed to be located. Indian authorities emphasized that the actions were not directed against Pakistan as a state but solely against groups threatening national security.
Indian government representatives stressed that the operation was conducted in line with domestic security protocols and under the right to self-defense. According to preliminary reports, several sites associated with the banned groups were destroyed. The exact number of enemy losses has not yet been disclosed.
In Pakistan, the news of the strike triggered a sharp response. Officials accused India of violating sovereignty and stated that the Indian armed forces' actions threaten regional stability. It was also noted that Pakistan reserves the right to retaliate if such strikes continue.
The Pakistani side is demanding an international investigation into the incident and calls on the global community to condemn India’s actions. Representatives of Pakistan's military command announced a heightened state of readiness and intensified patrols in the area of the alleged strike.
Meanwhile, the Indian government released a statement emphasizing that the operation had clearly defined objectives and was not intended to escalate the conflict. It was also reported that the Indian authorities are continuing to monitor the situation and will take further measures if civilian safety is threatened.
India’s military leadership held a series of briefings with heads of security agencies to discuss the operation and its possible consequences. Diplomatic channels were also activated with several countries, including those in Asia and the Middle East, to clarify India’s position and prevent rising tensions.
At the same time, increased activity by emergency response services is observed near the presumed strike sites. Local authorities have organized evacuations from areas at risk. In some regions, communication and electricity have been disrupted.
Indian officials expressed hope that the international community would support efforts to combat terrorism and recognize the need for decisive action against groups that threaten regional and global security. Delhi also confirmed its willingness for dialogue, provided that conditions of safety and nonviolence are met.
The situation remains tense, and both sides continue to monitor developments. A UN Security Council meeting is expected in the coming days to discuss the regional situation and the consequences of the airstrikes.
