Israel Attacks Iran: Strikes on Tehran, Natanz, and Kermanshah
Israel launched “Lion’s Might” operation with airstrikes on Iran’s key sites. A nuclear reactor in Natanz was destroyed; IRGC and Iran’s General Staff commanders were reportedly killed.
Israel has launched a large-scale military operation under the codename "Lion’s Might" targeting key sites across the Islamic Republic of Iran. A series of airstrikes hit targets in the capital Tehran, as well as in strategically important areas such as Natanz, Kermanshah, and other regions. The Israel Defense Forces announced the mobilization of reservists into elite units of the Air Force, military intelligence, logistics, and Home Front Command.
One of the main epicenters of the strikes was the nuclear facility in Natanz, the heart of Iran’s nuclear program. The Iranian Minister of Atomic Energy confirmed that the reactor was completely destroyed. A major fire broke out on the complex grounds, with multiple explosions and destruction reported, presumably caused by precision strikes from the Israeli Air Force.
A significant blow was dealt to Kermanshah — a mountainous area in the west of the country, home to the largest underground missile base of the IRGC. This site serves not only as a storage facility but also as a launchpad for ballistic missiles. According to preliminary information, the Israeli Air Force disabled the base by targeting its underground infrastructure.
The attack resulted in the death of Hossein Salami, the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. It is also reported that the Chief of the General Staff of Iran's Armed Forces, General Mohammad Bagheri, was eliminated. These losses are a major blow to the country's military leadership. Additionally, a radar station in the Subashi area — a critical part of Iran's early warning system on its western border — was destroyed.
Amid the events, widespread power outages, communication disruptions, and public panic have been reported in Tehran and other major cities. Iranian authorities have not yet declared a general mobilization but announced that air defense and armed forces have been placed on full alert. According to local media, emergency sessions of the National Security Council are ongoing.
The escalation between Israel and Iran has entered a new phase, threatening to evolve into a full-scale military confrontation with international repercussions. The situation demands an immediate response from the global community and may lead to the destabilization of the entire Middle East.
