The Israeli Air Force carried out large-scale airstrikes on Iranian territory, targeting the SPND research center, which is linked to the country’s nuclear program. Additional targets included missile production and military infrastructure facilities located in and around Tehran.

According to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), about 60 fighter jets participated in the operation, launching around 120 munitions at pre-designated coordinates. The targets comprised ammunition depots, command centers, production facilities, and logistical bases allegedly used to support Iran’s armed groups.

The military clarified that the strikes were conducted in waves, accounting for time of day and weather conditions. Aircraft approached from various directions to maximize accuracy and minimize risks to civilian infrastructure. Some of the strikes were reportedly directed at sites related to defense research.

The SPND is regarded as a critical component of Iran’s defense science sector and has been under international observation. The center has been mentioned in several reports for its connection to the now-halted military dimensions of Iran’s nuclear program. No official confirmation of damage has been released by Iranian authorities.

Local sources in Tehran reported multiple explosions across the city, which were followed by power outages and heightened security measures. Emergency services were placed on high alert. Fires were observed in some areas, and efforts to extinguish them are ongoing.

This strike marks one of the most extensive operations since the recent escalation between Israel and Iran. Military analysts note that the coordination and intensity of the attack suggest prolonged preparation. The IDF continues to monitor the situation and reserves the right to take further action in response to Iranian threats.

The question of Iranian retaliation and the international response remains unresolved. Several regional countries and global organizations have called for de-escalation and urged all parties to avoid further conflict. Casualty and damage assessments are still underway.
