Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed support for former U.S. President Donald Trump’s plan for Gaza, which includes the forced relocation of Palestinians to other countries. He called this approach Israel’s official strategy and emphasized his willingness to discuss it at any time. The statement came amid escalating conflict and a growing humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip.

Previously, on March 4, an emergency Arab summit approved a five-year $53 billion plan for Gaza’s reconstruction. It provides for large-scale humanitarian, infrastructure, and economic aid without forced population transfers. However, Israel and the U.S. rejected this initiative and backed Trump’s alternative plan involving the relocation of Gaza’s residents to neighboring countries, particularly Egypt and Jordan.

Officials from Egypt, Jordan, and other Arab nations have already voiced strong opposition to this proposal, calling it an unacceptable violation of international law and an attempt to alter the region’s demographic structure. International organizations, including UN agencies, have also condemned the relocation idea, stressing its inadmissibility amid armed conflict and humanitarian disaster.

Netanyahu’s statement has increased diplomatic tensions, as the strategy of forced population transfer violates international norms and may qualify as a human rights violation. The initiative has been opposed not only by Arab countries but also by a significant part of the global community, including humanitarian and human rights organizations.

Despite widespread international criticism, Israel continues its military operation in Gaza and refuses to accept proposals for an immediate ceasefire. Support for Trump’s plan is viewed as an effort to increase pressure on Palestine, reshape future negotiations, and limit the possibility of restoring the Gaza Strip in its current form.

International observers warn that implementing this plan could provoke a major political and humanitarian crisis in the region and destabilize neighboring states. Against this backdrop, discussions of alternative peace settlement scenarios continue, though the negotiation process remains stalled.
