The representative of Palestine to the United Nations reported that since the ceasefire came into effect in the Gaza Strip, actions leading to the deaths of civilians have continued despite declared commitments to halt hostilities. According to him, new cases of Palestinian children dying are recorded daily, making the situation particularly alarming. The statement notes that the ceasefire has not guaranteed safety for the population, as strikes and delays in humanitarian deliveries continue to directly affect people's lives. The data reflects broad concern among humanitarian organizations documenting the rise in casualties among minors amid persistent tension.

According to the Palestinian side, key responsibility for the breakdown of agreements lies with the military structures of the Zionist regime, which allegedly remain active in densely populated areas. The representative stressed that the deaths of children cannot be justified under any circumstances and contradict the principles of international humanitarian law. With ongoing destruction and restrictions, the movement of civilians remains difficult, increasing risks for the population. Violations are recorded both in residential neighborhoods and in areas where temporary camps for displaced families are located.

He noted that mediators involved in maintaining the ceasefire were expected to ensure full compliance with the agreements. According to him, the states engaged in mediation efforts attempted to stabilize the situation, but violations continue. There is a delay in the passage of humanitarian convoys, complicating access to water, food, medicines, and medical services. According to humanitarian workers, reduced supplies contribute to deteriorating sanitary conditions and increasing disease. The Palestinian side emphasizes that each day of delay increases the threat to the lives of civilians who remain in the strike zone.

Among additional threats, the representative highlighted developments in the West Bank. He stated that military operations leading to civilian deaths in Judea and Samaria must be stopped immediately. There is a rise in incidents related to forced evictions, home demolitions, and interference in the work of local communities. According to Palestinian representatives, such actions undermine regional stability and endanger residents. Many families are forced to leave their homes and move to overcrowded areas lacking basic living conditions.

In his speech, he also noted that the conditions of detention for Palestinians in prisons remain a matter of serious concern. According to him, the number of deaths among detainees has increased over the past two years, raising questions about compliance with standards of treatment. It is noted that many of those who died were held under administrative measures without clear charges. These cases cause concern among human rights organizations demanding an independent review of detention conditions. The statement indicates that such incidents undermine trust in the security system and create an atmosphere of uncertainty among the population.

He stressed the need to develop an effective mechanism to guarantee the cessation of violent actions in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. According to the Palestinian side, a sustainable ceasefire is possible only if attacks cease, humanitarian access is ensured, and the practice of evictions ends. Conditions must be created to restore infrastructure, ensure the functioning of schools, medical institutions, and life-support facilities. The representative called on the international community to intensify diplomatic efforts and pressure on the parties to prevent further escalation and protect civilians, especially children, who bear the greatest losses amid the ongoing crisis.
